On Fiverr, a Gig is a defined service listing that the customer can purchase. Initially, instead of a very broad service, offer a specific output: for example, add subtitles of a certain length to a video provided by the customer. Adding something you can't do to the list increases the risk of disagreement, even if it brings early orders.
Make packages understandable
If you're using a start, medium or comprehensive package, explain the difference between them by number of files, time or delivery content. A revision is not the same as a request for additional work. Specify whether the source file, commercial use or additional language is included. Your profile must have real language and expertise information.
Your first trial: step by step
Produce an original sample delivery and measure the time by doing the same operation a second time. Write the explanation of the first announcement according to this experiment.
- Check the help center for gig creation and account validation requirements.
- Prepare the information form asking the client to provide the required files.
- Add the delivery format and correction limit to your ad.
Costs and pricing
Prices in foreign currency do not mean that the whole amount is a profit. Include platform fees, withdrawal or currency-conversion costs, tool subscriptions and client communication time in your calculation. If two hours of work require one hour's correspondence and one hour' s correction, you pay four hours in total. Confirm current charges with your account's payment information.
Before publishing or applying
Watch out for login links and payment verification requests from people who look like customers. Check the order inside the platform. Don't buy someone else's opinion or portfolio; follow the payment and communication rules. Clearly state the conditions of acceptance in advance.
