Using artificial intelligence is not a service on its own. The customer pays for the correct completion of a certain job. For example, editing licensed product data, editing a content draft or producing validated subtitles from an existing video are measurable outputs.
Reset automation limit
If you're going to edit product descriptions in a catalog, get the product characteristics from the source data. Do not ask the tool to fabricate missing technical information. Original text, correctness check and final approval are different steps. Don't offer a job requiring medical, legal or financial expertise based solely on tools output.
Your first trial: step by step
Test five products that are publicly available or licensed. Record your samples before and after, the errors you corrected, and the total time.
- Define the recurring job and acceptance criteria.
- Remove sensitive data; clarify data access permissions.
- Make sure every output is checked against the source and humanly verified.
Costs and pricing
Price the preparation, validation and correction time in addition to the subscription or usage fee. Even if the machine produces a draft in ten minutes, if you need two hours of review, don't count on ten minutes. Write down how many records or files you're going to hand over to the client, how many revisions there are, and what checks you've done.
Before publishing or applying
Do not upload client personal data, trade secrets or unpublished documents to a third-party tool without permission. Check the data storage and commercial terms of your service. Do not conceal AI use in projects that require work produced by a human.
