How does this method work?
Increasing the viewing time does not mean extending the video unnecessarily. It is necessary to answer the audience's question clearly, fluently and with sufficient detail. Total watch time, average watch time and percentage watched say different things. Making a quality decision by simply comparing the percentage value of a ten-minute video versus a two-minute video can be misleading.
Evaluation with a concrete example
If there is a significant drop in a chart at the third minute, open that scene and see what happens: is there repetition, is the sound distorted, has it moved away from the subject promised in the title? A single fall does not conclusively prove the cause; Examine it with comments and similar sections. The episode watched again is not always a success; An incomprehensible painting may have forced the viewer to rewind.
Your first application: what should you have?
Mark the flow of the last video as question, information, example and conclusion. Identify unnecessary repetitions and long passages that do not contribute to the answer. Change just one narrative habit in the next video. The output is not a shot that stretches the video, but a cleaner editing map that ensures the viewer gets the right information in the right place.
