Premium is a separate viewer experience
YouTube Premium subscribers may consume content differently than the advertising experience. Eligible content creators may receive a share of subscription revenue based on Premium members viewing their content. This model does not mean that the channel owner bills the viewer separately or charges the same fee for each Premium viewer. The official statement and the channel's earnings report are the starting point for understanding the operation. Adding unnecessary repetition and long waiting sections to content just to increase Premium revenue is not a good publishing strategy.
Follow report in separate column
If you can keep advertising, Premium and other platform revenues separately in your monthly records, you can better see which item has changed. When total revenue increases, don't assume it's just from showing more ads. In the same period, the number of broadcasts, views of old videos and audience distribution may also have changed. When comparing a month to the previous month, take into account the difference in the number of days and the age of new videos. The volatility of a small amount from a single video does not give a strong conclusion about the entire channel.
