Choose work suited to your home
Remote customer support, video editing, online teaching and preparing your own products need different working arrangements. Do you have a quiet room, uninterrupted time and a suitable device? If you are frequently interrupted during the day, work deliverable by a deadline may suit you better than work requiring live calls. Do not choose solely by the advertised earnings.
Set boundaries for hours and delivery
Being at home does not mean being available at every hour. Identify the time you can actually devote each week and allow for preparation, communication and revisions. For example, squeezing a three-hour job into a two-hour gap creates delivery problems. Tell the client clearly which days you work and when you will respond. Discuss timing again if the scope changes.
