To start selling in the Dolap, you first choose a product that you don't use and know its condition well. Selling an item in your home and regularly buying and selling it again is not the same business model. Also consider cost, supply and tax obligations before moving into regular trade.
A good advertisement reduces the uncertainty of the recipient
Shoot the product in daylight with front, back and close-up details. Do not hide stains, wear or missing parts. For clothing, give actual measurements as well as the label size. For electronics, describe working condition and box contents. Don't use another seller's picture. The advertised price of similar products is not the actual selling price.
Your first trial: step by step
Use a single product in the first attempt; note which explanations reduced recipient questions.
- In the header, write your brand, product type and distinctive information.
- Add imperfections and measurements to the explanation.
- Measure packaging and shipping dimensions before ordering.
Costs and pricing
Example: If 600 TL sales are reduced by an assumed 90 TL deductions, 50 TL shipping and 20 TL packaging, there remains 440 TL. If you buy the product for 300 TL to sell it, the difference is 140 TL; labor and taxes have not yet been deducted. Check the order screen to see if actual charges vary depending on sales amount, promotion and shipping choice.
Before publishing or applying
Don't trust messages that require a card password, SMS code or external link to receive payment. Confirm the operation from the real order in the application. Keep a record of the product status and shipment, which can be used in returns and disputes; do not share the recipient's personal information.
